It was a great day for a tournament!
Under sunny, autumn skies, 68 golfers teed it up at Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in Vallejo, California for the 8th Annual HFMA of Northern California Vincent Acquisto Memorial Golf Tournament. The fun-filled scramble event featured a grilled lunch and BBQ dinner with many a golf shot in between the dining.
The winning foursome of Wende Weckbacher, Ramona Hernandez, Lisa Morphis and Neil Melloy posted a winning score of 15-under (57) on the Par 72 golf track. Neil Melloy credited four Eagles to the magical score that landed his group the coveted VAMGT Trophies.
Second place honors went to Ben Bochers, Devin Eckhardt, Greg Smorzewski and Jim Jarvis at 14-under (58). Third place was claimed by the foursome of Ian Richards, Ron Leal, Julian Penalta and Michael Johnson with a 12-under score of 60.
