The Law Offices of Stephenson, Acquisto & Colman recognize that information about the COVID-19 virus has now shown that social distancing, (at least 6 feet), is one of the best measures one can take to prevent the spread of the virus.

As one of the nation’s leading healthcare organizations, we are keenly aware of the strain this pandemic will have on our healthcare delivery systems. Put simply, we may be healthy enough to not suffer life-threatening illness or get sick from the virus but this does not mean we will not spread the virus to others with weakened immune systems who are more vulnerable. And the reality is that there are not enough hospital beds to accommodate sick patients if even 2% of our population needed to be hospitalized. Our population currently exceeds 320 million people and we have less than 1 million hospital beds  – many of which are already occupied.

Yes this is a public health issue.  

We continue to evaluate and monitor what the best practices should be for our clients and friends of the firm as well as our staff during this pandemic. Our goal is to provide a place that is as safe as possible for our staff so that they can in turn support our clients – the hospital providers at the forefront of this crisis.

We have always emphasized the health of our staff and taken extreme steps to ensure that they remain as healthy as possible.  This ensures that they perform well for our clients – the hospital providers.

This is why we are encouraging as many people as possible to utilize the ability we provide them to work remotely. During this period, we will continue to be fully operational because we have in place those technological capabilities to serve your needs which is the foundation of our firm.

SAC operates within a totally computerized environment. Along with the cross-training of SAC staff, this model allows the firm to be unaffected by events like these which may cause a reduction or loss of any key personnel.

SACLINK, the firm’s next-generation extranet portal, allows our clients to securely interact with our firm. This includes the ability to access, view and upload documents relating to all matters of their work with the firm. SACLINK goes beyond extranets currently being used in the legal field by offering clients and outside counsel dynamic, interactive collaboration on case data, as well as access to client data and relevant industry information and legal research. The net result is that during this crisis, these capabilities will allow us to support your needs.
